My first Bubu

I had gone to the doctor for some blood work and I got my right hand middle finger pinched. Thats how I got my first non-self inflicted wound. So, I am calling it my first bubu.
Mommy and Daddy are making preps for my first birthday party. See the invite. Nani, Thatha, Mommy , Daddy and me went to order the cake. I will have a cute cake, cake pops and cool cookies at my birthday party. Sounds like fun.
We went to Arjun's first birthday party, look at how pretty I dressed up for the party.And Nani came with us to my swim lesson, so ALL of us went.
Oh, I almost forgot. I am starting to walk. I took a few steps today. Thatha and Nani cheered me while I walked.

I learnt to say 'Thatha' today

I learnt to say thatha today and I called thatha too. Yay!! I am feeling bored to eat sitting in the high chair, so Nani has been letting me run around and eat when I feel like it. I like eating that way. This is so much fun.
And guess what, we have a new Nanny. Her name is Amrita Aunty. She is really cool and takes good care of me. I do give her some angry looks sometimes, so I still think I am keeping her under control ;-)

Cheruku family re-union in Philly

A new cousin(Arjun) was born on January 18th, to Smitha Attha. Chinna thatha and Nani came to see him, so we went to Philly to see him and meet Thatha and Nani.
Chinna Thatha became my new favorite thatha after my own thathas of course. I started playing with him instantly and we had fun all day. We took a lot of pictures.

Today, we started preparing for my birthday party. Mommy planned and bought stuff for making a pretty picture of me for the invitation.Thatha and Daddy helped Mommy prepare the setup while I played with Nani. The picture came out AWESOME!!!

What a week!

I took my first steps on January 25th. I walked 2 steps side ways in the afternoon with Nani and Thatha. Then, after Mommy came home from work, I walked 3-4 steps forward and then side ways. I walked 2 steps to show Daddy too.

And guess what, I am getting teeth. I am getting one little tooth at the front in the bottom. It is painful and all that but it is exciting too. I can now bite Nani's fingers when she feeds me ;-)

I have been doing a lot of dancing. Thatha has been inspiring me to dance, playing music, showing me some cool moves.

We had a sunny winter day this week, so Thatha, Daddy and me went out for an afternoon walk in our neighborhood.

I'm 11 months old! Yay!!

I've been watching planes lately, so Daddy decided to take me, Nani and Thatha to the Air and Space Museum. We saw a LOT of planes.We went to the Observation tower and saw a lot of planes land.
I have been learning to do a lot of things lately. I learnt to ask Nani and Thatha who called, when the phone rings. I say namaste to elders. I show how the plane flies.I learnt to sing. I learnt to dance. Everytime I hear a song, I start dancing. I even danced yesterday, while standing ont he sofa(balancing) and holding the iPAD which was playing the Hello Kitty song. Ain't that AWESOME!
Oh, I almost forgot Daddy and I went to YMCA for my second swimming lesson. This time we left Thatha at home and took Mommy. It was fun as always.
