Thatha is my best buddy

I have been wanting to tell you about Thatha and me for a long time, but now that I have some time during the X'mas vacation and since tis is the season......
Nani tells me that thatha is never home when he is in India and he always travels. But, he has been home all day everyday for so many days just for me. We both play with each other a lot and thatha has been teaching me so many things. Thatha helps me with my exercises and he taught me how to turn the lights ON and OFF. Thatha spends a lot of time in the media room, fixing things for the house. I always try to sneak into that room to find out what he does. Daddy and Thatha setup the TV from the room. It took me so many days to figure that out. It is really cool though.

Oh and Thatha always wants to feed me more and more....and when I eat too much I throw up. That makes him sad, so I dont eat too much anymore, but he keeps track of everything I eat and drink all day. He writes everything down to make sure I am getting enough nutrients. He tracks that information down, even if I am fed outside.Thatha and Nani come to all of my doctor appointments. Thaths did not come inside the last time I got a shot, so it was Nani and Daddy that took me in. Thatha is scared of needles, I think ;-)
I play with water when Nani and Thatha give me a bath everyday and I play with a glass of water everytime Nani feeds me. Thatha has to sit with me and entertain me while Nani feeds me.

Oh, I almost forgot...
Thatha has been teaching me how to pray and today finally, I learnt it.

My first XMas / New Year Present

My favorite Attha gave me my first Xmas/ New Year gift. ITS MY FIRST Build-a-Bear. Name is Bubba. She even got a Birth Certificate.I love it. I started screaming as soon as I saw it. Soooo cute!! I love you Atttha.

My first Christmas

Daddy tells me we are Hindu and we dont celebrate Christmas. So we went to Daddy's friends and Nani/Thathas Indian neighbors house for a party. I met a lot of kids and we stayed up late. I was awake until 12pm. The longest time I was awake EVER. That was soo cool.
Did I tell you that I am starting to like jewelry. Nani is teaching me all about jewels and I think I will start asking for some jewelry gifts soon. I can point to Nani's kammas and gajus.

Deepak uncle and Jaya aunty did give me a Christmas gift. It was a tea set. I am making tea now for Nani and thatha.

We went shopping for 'After Christmas' sales and we spent all of monday in the malls, furniture shopping. We finally bought a sofa. We were all so tired after that.

I am 10 months old

I am starting to understand things more and ask questions. Nani. Thatha, Mommy and Daddy answer my questions, everytime I ask. I climbed up the stairs 4 times today to celebrate my birthday. Did I tell you that I started brushing? Daddy and Thatha bought me a brush and paste. So, instead of watching Mommy and Daddy brush every morning, I brush with them too. It is so much fun.
Thatha and I did some exercises today, like we do everyday. Nani reads to me while a play around and do push ups. I have been watching teletubbies. Daddy bought me a teletubbies and a Dora DVD. I will be watching a lot of them now.

I saw a presidential candidate

That's right. I went to the Tysons Galleria mall over the weekend. We ran into Newt Gingrich. He is the replublican presidential candidate.
We went furniture shopping with thatha, mommy and daddy. I am recognizing nanis earrings and thathas eyes. I am standing up for longer periods and I go around the kitchen island. I am starting to like books. I like it when daddy,mommy,thatha or nani reads books to me. I learnt how to turn pages too.
We went tile shopping for our kitchen back splash and I had a lot of fun at the store.

Nani and Thatha went to New Jersey

Nani and thatha went to New Jersey to visit Chinna Nani and Thatha. We did not go :-(
Mummy is feeling sick, so we will stay home and let mummy relax. I went to Daddy's office today. I met so many new peole. They were all so nice and everyone wanted to play with me, but I did not want to play with anyone.
Daddy gave me a bath in the bath tub. I played with water and splashed it. We should do this more often. I had some much fun.Did I tell you that I ride in shopping carts while standing these days. Oh yeah, thats really cool. I get to see everything and stay in the front of the action. Thatha was scared at frst while we were in Costco, but Daddy made me do it anyway and I loved it. Thatha was amazed.:-)

Relaxing weekend

I had a relaxed weekend. Went to our neighbor's birthday party on saturday(Mardigras theme, so I wore a pruple dress to match Daddy, Mommy wore yellow). Nani and thatha came too.
I was in a good mood that day, see the video if you dont believe it. Sunday was a lazy day. Mummy was feeling sick, so we both slept for a lot of time. Daddy and Thatha cleaned mummy's car.

End of my first thanksgiving

Man! Was it hectic. I had so much fun, Nanis, Thathas, Mamas, Pinni and Attha and a puja. The pictures will speak for themselves. And to top it off Suman and Ajit uncles came for dinner on Sunday. It was a busy weekend.

I showed everyone how I can stand, we went on a train ride.
Oh, I almost forgot, we played cards and I cut my birthday cake. I shared it with Abhi Mama.

My first thanksgiving

Everyone is visiting us for the thanksgiving holiday. This is my first thanksgiving, so Daddy is making it really cool. We invited the whole family. Everyone is coming.
3 Thathas, Chinna Nani, Attha, Amit mama,Hem Mama,Pam attha, Abhi mama, Shreya Akka and little Sajiv(he is the only one younger than me, I'm so excited to play with him).
Pinni is already here and I recognized her from last time. We played and played until I got tired. She is so much fun.
Nani seems to be a little sick, since she has been caring for me all by herself, while thatha was in India. She is has been taking Tylenols to stay alert. Get well soon Nani.I learnt to copy Nani's cough, I imitate her cough now. I also stand up for longer times now and I tricked Mom, Dad and Thatha and stood up on my knees and acted like I was balancing on my feet. They clapped thinking I was standing. I tricked them....heheheee

Thatha came back from India

Thatha came back from India yesterday. Guess what!! I am able to stand up now and stay up for all of 15 seconds. Daddy caught it on video. When I stand, Nani, thatha, mummy and daddy all applaud, then I do it again. This is so much fun.
I spent 10 days with Nani only, without thatha. It was so much fun, but I missed thatha. I did not recognize him when he came back, he looked familiar but it took me 15 minutes to realize. 10 days is much lower than the 27 days I did not see daddy when I went to India. At that time I did not reconize daddy for a whole day.

Oh, I almost forgot. I went to a nursery at the YMCA. Mom and Dad went to the gym at the YMCA, so I was at the nursery. I met a friend and when I was talking to her, she suggested this really cool show called Teletubbies. I watched it on youtube a few days ago, I should say....they are awesome. I forget to blink everytime I watch the show. I like Dipsy, Tinky Winky, Lala and Po. They are all awesome.See me stand up

Thatha went to India

Thatha went to India for 10 days for business.We went to another party last night of someones cradle ceremony and I woke up in the middle of the party and started crying. This is the most that I cried in a while. We came back home early and I slept in the car on the way back.
I'm eating mixed grain and rice cereal with fruits now. I like Apples and Pears. I also eat biscuits when Thatha gives them to me. He said they are Marie biscuits.

I like taking strolls(crawling strolls) in the house. I'm only allowed in the family room or Daddy/Mommy's bedroom but I sneak into the kitchen. I like holding the cabinets and standing up.
I play with Nani and Thatha all day. They are sooo fun.We went to the airport to drop off Thatha.
Oh, I almost forgot, winter is here....
